Wulfric de Grey, Lord of Helmsley
History
-
Wulfric de Grey, a baron from northern England near Yorkshire, is a skilled knight shaped by years of martial training as a member of a noble house. In his early years, he took up the cross and joined the Crusades to reclaim the Holy Land, where his valor earned him his knighthood in the harsh deserts of the East.
Returning to England, Wulfric turned his battlefield prowess to the tourney circuits, amassing wealth and renown. His fortunes shifted again when his cousin, Robert de Grey, the ailing Lord of Helmsley Castle, retired after clashes with rebel barons. Wulfric was appointed as the new Lord of Helmsley, a title confirmed by the King.
Swearing a holy vow, Lord Wulfric rallied his loyal men and prepared to march south, determined to crush the rebellion and help restore order for God and the King.
