  • After returning from the Holy Land, the Earl of Chester spent time in the company of the Neutral Barons under an assumed identity.  Rhys ap Llywelyn has now raised his banner and entered the fray - not for crown or country, but to see justice done. A lesser son of a greater prince, the Earl of Chester knows what it is to be overlooked, and has taken it upon himself to turn the untrained rabble amongst the neutrals into the finest soldiers in all of England, such that they would be the envy of the host. There are, however, ulterior motives. With each soldier Rhys trains, with every one of them who goes on to swear allegiance to a greater lord, his network of intelligence grows. Chester may lose raw numerical strength as the war goes on, but what is lost in manpower is made up for in subterfuge; for those who are overlooked are often those who overhear.
