Eleanor of Gloucester, a bold baroness and rebel warrior. Raised by her father, Baron Edmond, Eleanor was trained in both diplomacy and combat, inheriting his vision of a strong, independent Gloucester. Her loyalty intensified when King John imprisoned Edmond for opposing his heavy taxes and arbitrary justice, driving Eleanor to take up her family’s cause and rally her vassals in rebellion.

Eleanor of earned her reputation defending her lands during a fierce siege in the initial stages of the conflict. With her father Edmond imprisoned by King John, Eleanor organized her garrison and led a daring counter-attack, forcing the royalist forces to retreat and securing Gloucester’s independence. She was knighted on the battlefield by her oldest friend and knight. 

As the first Barons’ War erupted, Eleanor led her forces with tactical precision, securing key victories and conducting daring raids on royal supply lines and encampments. Her fearless leadership earned the loyalty of her followers, though it drew the king’s ire. Aligning with Prince Louis of France and negotiating with his advisors, she fought not only to end John’s reign but to secure her father’s release and safeguard Gloucester’s future.

She is a symbol of noble defiance amid England’s turmoil.
